GORE SPRINGS, MS - Funeral services for Alica "Lisa" Roxanne Sholars, 49, will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro Billy Pierce officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, November 12, 2010 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home.
Lisa was born April 7, 1961 at Roswell, NM; and passed away November 9, 2010 in Jackson, MS. She was married to James Sholars March 24, 2005. Lisa was a loving, devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and grandmother. She touched so many people and made each one feel they were so special.
She was preceded in death by her dad, Grady Cottrell, sister, Deborah Pingleton, her grandparents, Mamma and Pappa Elder, Nanny and Pappa Warren, step-brother, Phillip Nicholson, and two-nephews.
Survivors include her husband, James Sholars; children, April Crocker, Timothy Kelly, David Ayala; step-children Jeremy Dorrian, Kenneth Sholars, Bridgett Sholars, and William Sholars; grandchildren, Harley, Joseph, Avery, Riley, Benjamin, Isaiah, and Skylar; brother, Stace Cottrell and wife Suzette; sisters, Eddie Renee Beecroft and husband Randy; Brenda Hargrove and husband Kelly; Dana Cooper and husband Andrew; Traci Koch and husband Cody; Barbara Rickman, Gwen Marshall and husband Mike; mom and pops, Mary and Nick Nicholson; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Cody Koch, David Ayala, Tim Kelly, Kenneth Sholars, William Sholars, and Billy Fuller.
