Funeral services for George W. Defee, 84, of Felsenthal, a retired cattleman and longtime resident of Union County who died earlier in the week, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Felsenthal Baptist Church. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, near Sadie, La., under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville. Pallbearers will be G. W. Defee, James Defee, Billy Ray Defee, J. C. Manning, Richard Manning and Sidney Stokes. The body will lie in state at the funeral home until time for the funeral. Mr. Defee is survived by five sons, Archie Defee of Sterlington, La., James Defee of Maplewood, La., Perry Defee of El Dorado, Joe Ollie Defee of Denver, Colo., and Woodrow Defee of Strong; three daughters, Mrs. Ralph Manning of Crossett, Mrs. Clyde Farris of Strong and Mrs. Virgil Manning of Sterlington; 19 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
