Mrs. Eugene N. Taliaferro, 73, of Litroe, La., died Tuesday in Ruston, La., following a lengthy illness. A native of Litroe, Mrs. Taliaferro was a member of the Litroe Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, Rex Taliaferro, El Dorado, Jack Taliaferro, Bastrop, La., and Roy Taliaferro, Springhill, La. Seven daughters, Mrs. W. T. Little, El Dorado, Mrs. G. F. Tubb, Gainesville, Fla., Mrs. B. W. Kope, Devine, Texas, Mrs. Clyde Little and Mrs. Calvin Eudy of North Little Rock, Mrs. J. M. Newsome, Dubach, La., and Mrs. Wayne Brunson, Jacksonville, Florida. Two brothers, Jewell Smith of Strong and Wilbur Smith of California. Four sisters, Mrs. R. W. Burgess of El Dorado, Mrs. Walter Breton, Jena, La., Mrs. George Cole, Farmerville, La., and Mrs. R. L. Arnold, Baton Rouge, La. Funeral services have been announced for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Litroe Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Chancellan officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Ruston. (The El Dorado News - July 20, 1966)
