William “Bill” Stewart Sr. 86, of Mooringsport, LA passed away on April 2, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Oil City United Pentecostal Church officiated by Rev. Kent Rhoads. Burial will follow at Mooringsport Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mooringsport, LA. There will be a time of visitation from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, April 6th at Oil City UPC.

Bill was born September 28, 1935 in Mooringsport where he lived all of his life. He enjoyed gardening, and building model airplanes. He also loved bird watching and was an excellent photographer. He served his country in the United States Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lorene and Bill Stewart, his brother Larry Cross Stewart, and his sister in law Jessie Stewart. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Francis Porter Stewart, his son William Edward Stewart Jr. and wife Pam of Shreveport, LA, his daughter Mary Marceline “Marcy” Carté and husband John of Blanchard, LA, his brother Donald Eugene Stewart of Douglasville, Georgia, his sister in law Tina Stewart of Mooringsport, LA, his grandchildren; Robert David Brumley, Jennifer Nicole Brumley, and William Kade Stewart, his nieces; Terrisa Stewart, Jennifer Stewart, Melissa Stewart, and Amanda Yorcis and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be his nephews; Larry Stewart Jr., Kevin Stewart, Wayne Stewart, Randall Stewart, Micah Stewart and Kyle Stewart.
