Shreveport, Louisiana - Visitation for Gladys Lewis Wilkinson will be held at Aulds Funeral Home 7849 E. King's Hwy in Shreveport, Louisiana on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 from 6:00pm til 8:00pm. Services will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Northpoint United Methodist Church on Hwy 1 North at Quad J at 3:00pm.

Gladys Lewis Wilkinson passed away March 30, 2015 at the age of 50. Gladys was an incredibly talented and creative woman. Born August 9, 1964 to her parents Glenn and Dora Lewis. Gladys had a true passion for her church. She enjoyed camping and being outdoors. She was a beautician by trade and a gifted cake decorator. Gladys will be truly missed by her family, friends, clients and all who knew and loved her.

Gladys is survived by her husband Bobby Wilkinson, daughter Melissa Sue Jennings and husband John; daughter Carrie Marie Watson and husband Ramell; daughter Christy Renee Boyett and husband Chad; son Steven Douglas Wilkinson and wife Paula; son Kevin DeWayne Wilkinson; and grandchildren Ryan Michael Dettling, Avery John Jennings, Skylar Carl Belcher, Camry Lyn Belcher, Julianna Catherine Boyett, Landry Douglas Wilkinson and Cardis Lee Wilkinson. Gladys is survived by five brothers, Ira Glenn Lewis Jr., Floyd Wayne Lewis, Russell Boyd Lewis, Harry Lee Lewis and Carl Lyn Lewis.

Pallbearers will be Russ Boyd Lewis, Landry Douglas Wilkinson, Robert Glen Young, Ramell Lamar Watson, Jimmy Lee Moreno and Chad Edward Boyett. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Wayne Lewis and Richard Floyd Lewis.

Gladys' wishes were for us to celebrate her life rather than mourn. She will be laid to rest a Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mooringsport, La. The family invites all loved ones to join in the planting of a memorial tree on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 1:00pm at Northpoint United Methodist Church. With a reception to follow.

The family would like to thank Gladys' lifelong friend Brenda Slusser for her love and support of not only Gladys' but our entire family, and also the nursing staff at Willis Knighton Bossier with special thanks to nurse Robin Dearmann.
