SHREVEPORT, LA - Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Mary Felicia Bledsoe Rost, 73, will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home in Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Father Richard J. Lombard of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Forest Park West.
Mrs. Rost was born on February 21, 1939 to the late Robert L. and Frances A. Salazar Bledsoe in Port Arthur, TX and went to be with her Lord on February 4, 2013.
Mrs. Rost was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ervin T. Rost; two sons, Thomas E. Rost and wife Andria Wilson Rost, and Robert A. Rost; grandson, Chris Irwin and wife Tabatha and two great-grandchildren, Christian and Haileigh Irwin.
Mrs. Rost enjoyed being a housewife and raising her two sons. In 1978 she decided to complete her education and attained her high school diploma through C.E. Bryd High School. She furthered her education by completing courses at Shreveport-Bossier Vocational Technical Institute. She was also a member of the Navy Wives Clubs of America and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary 12th district. She was a life time member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and was an extraordinary minister of the Eucharist.
