SHREVEPORT, LA - Trallis Justine Tupper, 86, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 5, 2013. A mass of Christian burial celebrating the life of Mrs. Tupper will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Father Joe Kallookalam. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mooringsport, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 8, 2013, with a vigil following at Rose-Neath Marshall Street in Shreveport, LA.
Trallis was born on March 8, 1927 in Jennings, LA to Clifford Raymond and Ida Boone Taylor. She will be deeply missed by her family. Trallis had a special place in her heart for all of her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Tupper, Sr.; parents; son, Clifford "Buddy" Otis Tupper; grandson, Christopher "Robin" Dykes; three brothers, and three sisters.
Trallis is survived by her sons, Donald Tupper, Jr., and wife, Debby, and Johnnie Tupper; daughter, Joy Tupper Dykes, and husband, Van; daughter-in-law, Renie Tupper; grandchildren, Cliff, Brad, Mark, and Duane Tupper, Jeff Dykes, Tracey Posey, and Brandee McCarthy; Sixteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Honoring Mrs. Tupper as pallbearers will be Cliff Tupper, Brad Tupper, Duane Tupper, Mark Tupper, Jeff Dykes, Eddie Springer, and Perry Taylor.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials may be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church, 4300 N. Market St., Shreveport, LA 71107.
