Mausoleum
Funeral services for Marguerite Bozeman Cherry, 84, will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2014 at Rose-Neath Marshall St. Chapel, 1815 Marshall St., Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Dr. Pat Day. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.Marguerite Cherry was born September 5, 1930 in Shreveport, LA and passed away on October 15, 2014. She was a graduate of Northwestern State University and a long time educator for the Louisiana Technical Colleges at the Lake Charles, New Iberia and Shreveport-Bossier locations. She retired after 41 years of service from the Shreveport-Bossier Campus as the assistant administrator. She was also a faithful member of First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Marguerite Bozeman; daughter, Margaret Jane Cherry. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, William Jeffrey Cherry; James Hardy Cherry and wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Kathryn Renee Cherry; Julia Kay Cherry; sister, Billie Vic Van Hoose and husband, Gordon; and niece, Marguerite West and husband Vik Bhide. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
