Gwen Sullivan Halford, 92, of Vivian, Louisiana, passed away on September 1, 2015. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 4, 2015 at Vivian Cemetery officiated by Rev. Eddie Briery. Gwen was born on October 6, 1922 to Martin and Ethel Sullivan. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Lydia Sunday school class. She was also a member of the Zetelathian Club and was a bank teller for many years. She loved to sew, she had lots of friends who she loved to go to lunch with. Gwen is preceded in death by her husband John Halford, her brother Martin Sullivan and her sister Faye Wood. She is survived by her sons Joe Halford of West Melbourne, Fl and Fount Halford of Houston, Tx, her daughters Fern Halford and husband Woody Penouilh of New Orleans and Ann Graham and good friend James Drummond of Alexandria, La, her 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
