Funeral services for Vergie Mae Taylor Sullivan will be held Friday, December 12, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Pine Grove United Methodist Church in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. Richard Methvin officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Minden, Louisiana under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Vergie was born December 27, 1918 in Wyatt, Louisiana and entered into rest December 10, 2014 in Minden, Louisiana. She was a member of Eastside Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed quilting.
Her husband Buddy Sullivan, daughter Floy Ray, grandson Jimmy Cook and son-in-law Clovis Shepherd preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son Johnny Louis Sullivan and wife Gloria of Minden, son-in-law Willard Ray of Minden, daughters Marie Shepherd of Atlanta, Arkansas, Gloria Cook of Arlington, Texas, Delores Dooly and husband Kennith of Minden, 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 17 great great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
