Funeral services for Mack Lee Graham, Sr of Farmerville were held at 10 am Wednesday, December 19 at Liberty Baptist Church, Spearsville with Bro Gaylon King, Doug Talbert and Bro Gary Canterberry officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville.
Mr Graham was born August 23, 1908 in Caledonia, Arkansas and passed away December 16 at 99 years of age. He was a farmer in Spearsville, an owner of Cornerville Grocery Store in Spearsville and owner of Western Auto in Tallulah. He surrendered to preach in 1952 and was a Baptist minister for the last 55 years, having pastured at Garrett Road Baptist Church in Monroe, Florida Street Baptist Church in Tallulah, East Side Baptist Church in Monroe and Liberty Baptist Church, Spearsville.
Daddy never passed up a chance to witness for his Lord. He had an enjoyable sense of wit and humor until the end of his life. He was also a beloved minister, husband, daddy, granddaddy, great and great-great granddaddy and a friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Lonie Inez Burden Graham; son M L Graham, Jr; father John Graham; mother Zudiea Fuautheree Graham Clifton; brothers Levelle Thomas and Arnold Thomas; sisters Jessie Thomas Sanders and Selma Evin Thomas Shows.
Survivors include his wife Peggy Patton Graham of Farmerville; daughter-in-law Nita Watson Graham of Farmerville; sons Sherward Graham & wife, Melba Watson Graham and Elvin Graham & wife Mary Holdman Graham all of Spearsville; daughter Nelda Gay Williams & husband, Roy of Spearsville; sister, Mildred Thomas Hayes of Monroe; step-children Rex Patton, Bruce Patton, Sara Patton Hollis & husband, Steve and Rita Patton Morris & husband, Harold; 32 Grandchildren, 20 Great grandchildren, 20 great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ricky Graham, Aubrey Graham, Ray Lockwood, Royce Lockwood, Franklin Beaird, Paul Beaird, Benny Thomas and Bruce Patton.
Honorary pallbearer: Joe Dews.
Visitation was at Liberty Baptist Church, Spearsville on Tuesday.
