Obituary from the Shreveport Times newspaper, July 29, 1971, Thursday, p. 4-A:
Alter Lehia Schwartzberg, 75, of 850 Montrose St., died at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Physicians and Surgeons Hospital.
A native of Shreveport, Mr. Schwartzberg was a retired shoe store owner.
He is survived by his sister, Jennie Schwartzberg of Shreveport.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Hebrew Rest Cemetery. Rabbi Leo Brener of Agudath Achim Congregation will officiate assisted by Rabbi Emmanuel Kumin.
