Funeral services for Clyde Colvin “C C” Beaird, 67, of Spearsville were held at 10 am Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at Conway Baptist Church, Conway with Bro Forrest Post, Bro Coy Upshaw and Stan Elkins officiating.

Interment followed in Conway Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mr Beaird, a retired supervisor with the Louisiana Department of Highways, died Sunday, March 25, 2007. He was a member of Mt Union Baptist Church and of Oakland A & G Hunting Club.

He is preceded in death by his wife Gloria A Beaird; parents, John & Lilburne Beaird and daughter-in-law, Cindy Griffin Beaird.

Survivors include son Kerry Beaird of Farmerville; daughter,Cheryl Beaird Griffin & husband Jason of Marion; 1 sister Ruby Jean Stoudemire of Wilmington, North Carolina; 5 grandchildren Meagan Pierson, Matt Griffin, Kerry Beaird II, Tia Beaird, Cole Griffin; and a host of other relatives and beloved pet, “Tiny”.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Alford, Rollin Alford, Robert Gulley, Goose Elkins, Donald Griffin, and Shane Alford.

Honorary pallbearers Oakland A & G Hunting Club members, his good friends from the fire ring that sat around the shed and discussed the world’s problems.

Visitation was 5-8 pm March 27 at Farrar Funeral Home, Farmerville.
