September 23, 1918 - November 14, 1965
Harry W. Shackleford, 47, of Bernice, La., died Sunday morning in a Bernice clinic following a lengthy illness. Mr. Shackelford was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bernice. His survivors include two sons, Buddy Shackelford and Mark Shackelford, both of Dallas, Tex.; a daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Harris of Mobile, Ala.; his mother, Mrs. G. W. Shackelford of Bernice; three brothers, G. R. Shackelford of Shreveport, S. R. Shackelford of El Dorado and T. R. Shackelford of Monroe; and a sister, Mrs. G. B. Cagle of Bernice. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church of Bernice. (The El Dorado Times - November 15, 1965)
