January 4, 1933 -October 4, 2016
Mr. John Hugh Kennedy, age 83 of Groves, TX, died Tuesday, October 4, 2016. Mr. Kennedy was a native of Jackson Parish but has lived in Texas for many years.
Friends may visit with the family Friday, October 7, 2016 from 1:00PM until 2:00PM at Southern Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 2:00PM with Reverend Lance Huckaby officiating. Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery.
Mr. Kennedy is survived by a brother, Jim Kennedy and wife Sandra of Groves, Tx; sister, Bishon Prushankin of Glenwood, Pa; four generations of nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends.
Mr. Kennedy was predeceased by his parents, Joseph Jennings Kennedy & Ada Lou (Robinson) Kennedy; brother, Pete Kennedy; sisters, Jean Parker and Peggy Anderson.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Tippen, Randall Stevenson, Lane Tippen, Sawyer Stevenson, Monty Kennedy and John Odenbaugh
