Funeral services for Sidney Carroll Taylor Sr., age 77, of Oak Grove, Louisiana will be 2PM, Sunday, February 23, 2014, at the Forest Baptist Church in Forest, Louisiana with Rev. Jay Avance officiating. Interment will be in the New Forest Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday from 5PM - 9PM at Cox Funeral Home. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Irving Taylor and Florence Asberry Taylor; granddaughter, Crystal Frasier; son-in-law, Wayne Fortenberry; 6 sisters, Margie Albritton, Juanita Ingram, Mamie Fletcher, Yvonne Tweedy, Susie Robertson, Fannie Mae Frith; 2 brothers, Irvin Taylor and Barney Taylor. Sidney is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara Taylor of Oak Grove, Louisiana; son and daughter-in-law, Sidney Taylor Jr. and Annette Taylor of Oak Grove, Louisiana; son and daughter-in-law, John Campbell and Kim Campbell of Oak Grove, Louisiana; daughter, Sandy Fortenberry of Oak Grove, Louisiana; daughter and son-in-law, Donna Reeves and Brandon Reeves of Oak Grove, Louisiana; 13 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Colt Sanders, Cameron Stephens, Timothy Fisher, Landon Cobb, Caleb Faircloth, Blake Elliott. Honorary pallbearers will be Cecil Parmertier, David Elliott, Phillip Elliott, R. L.
