Joseph "Joe" Malmay
SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Joseph "Joe" Malmay, 82, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, June 7, 2010 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Monsignor J. Carson LaCaze. Interment will follow with full Military Honors in St. Joseph Cemetery in Zwolle, LA. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 6, 2010 at the funeral home.
Joe was born on September 9, 1927 in Noble, LA to Victor and Ellen Garcie Malmay. He passed away on June 3, 2010 in Shreveport where he was a resident. He was a former resident of New Orleans where he retired after 31 years as a wholesale distributor. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for over 20 years. Joe was always kind and caring of others, putting their need before his. He will be missed by all whose lives he touched.
Preceding Joe in death were his parents, 2 sisters, and 5 brothers. Left to cherish his memory is his sister, Maggie Ely and brothers, Robert and Virgil Malmay and numerous nieces and nephews. Rose-Neath Funeral Home
