Funeral services for B T(Troy) Foster, 99, were held 2 pm Monday, November 6, 2006 at Mt Union Baptist Church in Spearsville. Mr Foster will lie in state for visitation Sunday, November 5, 2006 beginning at 2:30 pm at the family home. Officiating will be Bro Jerod Hawthorne and Bro Forrest Post. Interment will follow at Mt Union Cemetery.
Mr Foster was born December 13, 1906 and passed away November 4, 2006. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Mr Foster was preceded in death by his wife Edith Spears Foster, after 67 years of marriage, eleven siblings, twin great-grandsons and son-in-law, Carl D Elkins.
He is survived by his children Elaine Elkins; Dr John D Foster and wife Rosemary; Patsy R Nash and husband Charles and Cindy Haney and husband, Bruce, seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Craig, Dwain, Eddie, Damien, Graham, Christian and friend Tom Elkins.
Honorary pallbearers will be David Risinger, Alvin Green, Virgil Rhodes and Dick Aulds.
