MOORINGSPORT, LA - Services for Dell Ray Pierce, 41, will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 29, 2014, at Church of Christ North, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Garry Knighton. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Mooringsport, LA. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 28, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St., Shreveport, LA.

Dell was born to Donald Pierce and Fay Dupont Allen on October 21, 1973, in Shreveport, LA, and passed away August 26, 2015, in Shreveport, LA after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Dell was a member of Church of Christ North in Shreveport, and his faith in God was a constant example to all who knew him. Through his whole battle with cancer, his prime objective was to show people how to die with confident faith. Dell had and loved his huge family very much, as well as many friends that loved him back. His wife and daughters were always first in his life along with God, they meant the world to him. He was an avid hunter, fisher, and dirt track racer. Everyone knew him as a loving, caring, and hardworking man.

Preceding Dell in death is his father. Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife of 18 years, Sheri Pierce; daughters, Kristen Pierce, Kaitlyn Pierce, all of Mooringsport, LA; mother and father-in-law, Dianne and Andy Dasch of Lake Charles, LA; step-father and mom, Richard and Fay Allen, of Mooringsport, LA; sisters, Christi Pierce of Arlington, TX, Shelli Pierce of Shreveport, LA; special nephews, Brett Wade Pierce, and E. J. Bishop of Mooringsport, LA. Also leaves behind a very large, loving, extended family.

Serving Dell as pallbearers will be Tippy Bickham, Chad Dupont, Jacob Dupont, Joshua Dupont, Robert Dupont, Stacy Dupont, Travis Dupont, and Roy Wells.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Hargon, Brandon Robinson, and Grace Home, for taking such great care of us in such a trying time in our life.
