Killed In Action
He enlisted in February 1942 (Service #755278), and earned his wings in October 1943. In March 1944, he was transferred to England, European Theater of Operation) as Co-Pilot of a B-17 (Flying Fortress), Aircraft Tail #42-39937. He had completed seven missions by the time he was killed in action.
The Flight After Action Report, #4818, reported his aircraft crashed between Koblenz and Frankfurt, Germany. The report indicated he died at the crash scene from injuries sustained in the crash. He was buried on May 13, 1944, at a cemetery in Rupersdorf, Germany.
