On Sunday September 27, 2020, Roy E. Trask Jr., a loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 69 at home with his family. Roy was born on January 30, 1951 to Roy Ellsworth Trask and Irma (Dannie) Lee Daniels in Jackson, MS. Upon graduation from Murrah High School in 1969, Roy continued his education and received 2 Bachelors Degrees from Mississippi State University in Wildlife Management and Forestry. After working for over 40 years as a dedicated forester, land manager, and realtor with Vardaman Co, Inc, he started his own successful business in these fields. Roy enjoyed many hobbies including photography, gardening, jewelry making, coin and knife collecting. Roy was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Don. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Charlotte Trask; daughter, Kim Carter (Don); son, Trey Trask (Martha), his brother, Shawn Trask (Robyn), his sister, Candace Trask, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Graveside services for Roy E. Trask, Jr., will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 2, 2020 at Forest Park West Cemetery . A visitation with the family will be held prior at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the services will be Reverend Jim Gstohl. In leu of flowers we request donations to the Kidney Foundation which does extraordinary work supporting dialysis patients across the state and country.
