SHREVEPORT, LA - Sharon Traylor Attaway, born February 25, 1944 in Shreveport, LA left this earth for her mansion in Heaven Tuesday, May 17, 2011 due to complications from her treatment for cancer. Visitation will be held at Rose Neath Southside on Thursday May 19, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Services to celebrate her life will be held at Calvary Baptist Church on Friday May 20, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Step Martin, Rev. Steve Gilley, and Rev. Price Harris. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she also taught a Special Education Sunday School class. She was a long time bookkeeper at Walker Spring and Brake. To all of you that prayed for her and her family, we want to say thanks. Some of you may think your prayers were not heard or answered, you are wrong. You prayed for her to get better, how could she be any better than to be in Heaven with our Lord?

She was preceded in glory by her parents, Buster and Nada Traylor, sister and husband, Janice and Robert Stephens, and granddaughter, Victoria St. Germain.

Sharon was survived by her husband of 47 years, Ardis "Bo" Attaway, her brother and wife, Randy and Toni Traylor; her daughter and husband, Nada and Joey Percival, daughter, Sherri Attaway; grandchildren, Philip and Kara Seaman, and Amelia St. Germain; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The pallbearers will be Donald Ray DeSoto, Gregg Stephens, Joey Percival, Clay Stephens, Philip Seaman, Brock Melvin, Mack Slaughter, and Robert Stephens.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Camp Bethany or the American Cancer Society.
