Stephanie Yvonne Cooper, “Be’Be” was born September 11, 1973, to Betty Ruth Cooper and Preston Leonard Elmore.

Stephanie joined the New Saint James Church family at an early age and was baptized under the leadership of Rev Charles L McGee. She later joined the New Saint James youth choir under the direction of Mrs Doris Lewis and Jean Crouch.

Stephanie loved helping people and encouraging people to do the right thing. Her motto was “never say goodbye” always say “I'll see you later.” She loved cooking and decorating and she also loved the New Orleans Saints football team. Her favorite team player is Kamora.

Stephanie attended Wossman High School. She was a 1991 Wossman High School graduate. She also played in the Wossman High School Wildcat Band under the direction of Mr Brett Smith. Stephanie joined the Air Force month after graduation. She was stationed in Charleston, South Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother Mrs Eveleon James; her aunts LaSandra (San) James and Carolyn (Cooper) Howard; her uncle Landry (Larry) Cooper; her niece Carlette LaShea Cooper and her nephew Julius Lavelle (Noonie) Cooper.

Stephanie leaves to cherish her precious memories her mother Betty Ruth Cooper; three sons Justyn Ladell Cooper, Jamarrius Quatez Cooper of Monroe and Cartavius Devontē Cooper of Texas; five grand children Aaliyah, Gianna, Kyrie, Kinsley and Cameron; three sisters Teresa LaShea Cooper, Andrea Leonette Cooper and LaKeisha Nicole (Monroe) Cooper; one brother Cedric Lorenzo (Minnie) Cooper of Atlanta, Georgia; three nieces Cedricka Shantell Lavender of Atlanta, Georgia, KéJessica Desirée Cooper and Erica KēAndrea Cooper of Monroe; four nephews Kenterrius Monteze Cooper, Donterrius Montrell Cooper, Vincent Tyrone Cooper and Gerald Dewayne Cooper, all of Monroe; a host of half sisters and brothers, aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, nieces, family, and friends; her best friend, Mrs Lavonda (Turner) Lewis and godsisters, Michelle Gorham and Ann Gorham.
