August 30, 1878 - January 26, 1960
Final rites for W. H. Hofmeister, 81, who died Tuesday at 10:30 p.m. in a Shreveport hospital following a lengthy illness, were scheduled today at 2 p.m. in the Green-Kleinegger Chapel, the Rev. E. H. Phillips, pastor of the Minden Presbyterian church will officiate. Burial will follow in the Minden Cemetery under the direction of the Green-Kleinegger Funeral Home. Pallbearers are J. K. Gladney, H. L. Miller, George Peterson, Walter White, A. Q. Hackett, and Don Hinton. Hofmeister was a longtime resident of Minden having lived here for the past 37 years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Regina Hofmeister of Minden, one son, Fermont W. of Minden, and one sister, Mrs. C. R. Abbott of Peabody, Kansas. (The Minden Herald - January 28, 1960)
