November 20, 2005 - April 17, 2023
Jason Dewayne Butler was born on November 20, 2005, in Monroe, Louisiana, to mother, Vanessa Jones, and stepdad, Anthony Jones.
He attended Madison James Foster Elementary School and Lee Jr. High School. At an early age, Jason professed his love for music, networking, and a hint of rapping. He was a laidback and outgoing kid who truly loved his family. Jason was excited for adulthood, where he was lined up to get his first job and apartment.
Jason transitioned over peacefully on April 17, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Martha Livingston, and great-grandfather, George Butler.
Jason leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Vanessa Jones; stepdad, Anthony Jones; sister, Ericka Butler; brother, Derrick Butler; grandparents, James and Linda Louis; aunts, Jacqueline Nelson, Angela Louis, Jennifer Louis and Amy Louis; uncles, James Butler, Malcolm Butler, James King, and Cedric McGinnis; cousins, Shaterrica Butler, Davion Butler, MiDaijah Butler, Tykia Butler, Cednecia McGinnis, Samya Butler, Jaylen Butler, Jeremiah Butler, D’Layla Butler, Javarius Butler, Makyra Butler, Bryson Butler, Brooklyn Jackson, and Ayden Butler; and a host of other family and friends.
