"Two Haynesville men have been reported killed in action in Europe. Pullum Teague, 33, was killed in Italy Oct. 2, according to a telegram from the war department received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Teague. Teague had been in the army for three and a half years, and had been overseas for 10 months. He is survived by his parents, three sisters and three brothers."

In November 1948, a news article in The Times reported PFC Teague's body had returned to the United States for burial.
