Company D Powers Regiment
Civil War Confederate
January 16, 1845 - July 2, 1918
The 14th (Mitchell's-Powers) Inf Regt was organized in the summer & fall of 1861 with Col William C Mitchell, commanding.
The regiment was reorganized May 16,1862. It was field consolidated with the 18th & 23rd Inf Regts from February 1863 to July 1863. It was surrendered at Port Hudson, LA, July 8, 1863. It was paroled during the same month & was consolidated with the 15th NW, 16th & 21st Infantry Regiments & became the 1st Infantry Regiment Consolidated, Trans-Mississippi Department in January 1864.

Pea Ridge, AR (Elk Horn Tavern) March 7 - 8, 1862
Corinth, MS Campaign April - June 1862
Iuka, MS September 19, 1862
Corinth, MS October 3 - 4, 1862
Port Hudson, LA May-June 1863
