Rev. David Womack went to be with our Lord on May 12, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services celebrating the life of Bro Dave will be held at 10:00 am Monday, May 14, 2012 at the Mooringsport Baptist Church with his friends Rev. Michael Scott and Rev. Randy Brown officiating. Interment will follow at the Mooringsport Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 13, 2012 from 6-8 pm at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Vivian, LA.
He surrendered to the ministry in 1981 and spent his life a loyal servant of God. He lived by the words "Feed my Sheep" which we often heard in his sermons.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Beverly, son, Wes Womack and wife, Julia of Shreveport, daughters, Kimberly Harris, Stephanie Rolland and Amy Young all of Mooringsport: six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be made to the Fishers of Men Ministry, Mooringsport Baptist Church.
We watched him live the life of a Christian and he showed us how to die as a Christian.
"Well done my good and faithful servant"
