Funeral services for Mr. Mark Allen Murphy of West Monroe, LA will be 2:00pm Friday, November 10, 2017 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe with Bro. Randall Greer officiating. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Thursday, November 9, 2017 at the funeral home.

Mr. Murphy was born November 30, 1971 in Monroe, LA and passed from this life on November 7, 2017 in West Monroe, LA at the age of 45. He was a foreman at Rocket Custom Cabinet Shop. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and was loved by all. His sense of humor will forever be remembered.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Clyde and Frankie Murphy and Elzie Spillers, and one uncle, Johnny Murphy, Aunts Ruth Sullivan and Martha Sloan.

Survivors include his children, Zachary Allen Murphy, Cade Smith, Alayna Suzanne Murphy and Myra Rice; parents, Clifton and Glenda Murphy; one brother, Jerry Murphy and wife, Jenny; his grandmother, Mae Spillers; two grandchildren, Dash Carter Murphy and Aspen Journey Murphy; one nephew, Aubrey Kyle Murphy; the mother of his children, Amanda Reed; mother-in-law, Alice Hutson;
Uncle Junior Spillers, Aunts, Dorothy Bass, Martha Phillips, all of West Monroe, and special aunt, Shortie Stevens of Start; also survived by a host of extended family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Murphy, Cade Smith, Tyler Works, Chip Stevens, Shawn Nason and Chad Balch.
