GRAND CANE, LA- Funeral services for Glynn Skinner, 75, will be held Friday December 30, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Bro. David Permenter. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2011 at the funeral home.

Glynn was born in Toro, LA on January 18, 1936 to Doug and Rae Skinner. He passed away on December 27, 2011 in Shreveport, LA. He was a resident of Grand Cane, LA and a Baptist. He was a model shop supervisor with Poulan Weedeater for 42 years. Upon retirement, he and Lillie enjoyed traveling and visiting all 50 states.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Skinner; sisters, Naomi Curtis, Maxine Harvey, and Bonnie Richard. Left to cherish the wonderful years and memories is his wife of 56 years, Lillie Skinner; son, Steve Skinner and wife, Karen; daughter, Cheryl Bounds and husband, Brian; grandchildren, Brandon Robertson, Brandon Bounds, Brittany Bounds and Evelyn Skinner; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Wilson; brother, Ken Skinner and wife, Judy.

Pallbearers will be Leon Bagley, Claude Dolese, Bruce Eaves, Joe Freeman, Walter Garrett, Mike Rives, Kevin Salley and David Townsend.

Memorials may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or to a charity of your choice .
