SHREVEPORT, LA- A memorial service for Percy E. Thomas, 86, will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Ellerbe Road Methodist Church with Rev. Christmas C. Wilbur officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel.
Percy was born in Arcadia, LA on March 14, 1927 and passed away on May 14, 2013. He was a resident of Shreveport and a Methodist. After graduating from Arcadia High School he went to work for Armour Meat Packing Co. He then founded Thomas Brokerage Co. where he served as president. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a loving husband, and a playful and lovable uncle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Percy Thomas Sr. and his sister, Mary Elizabeth Burt. He is survived by his loving wife, of 63 years, Betty Black Thomas and numerous nieces and nephews.
