Rickey Dewayne Vickers, 62, of Greenwood, Louisiana, retired supervisor/crane operator of Beaird Industries passed away Friday, January 15, 2016, at LifeCare Hospital.

A Visitation will be held Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 11:00 am at Forest Park Funeral Home, 1201 Louisiana Ave (at Stoner Ave), in Shreveport, with a Funeral Service following at 1:00 PM.

Rickey was born on March 6, 1953 in Minden, Louisiana to Max Vickers and Virginia "Nell" Denmon. He grew up in Minden, Louisiana. On September 20, 1979, he married Karen Lindeman in Linton, North Dakota. He worked as a supervisor/crane operator at Beaird Industries in Shreveport until he retired.
Rickey loved football, fishing, and communicating with family and friends online. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, and three grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Karen; daughter, Tonya Jo (Jim) Tippett; daughter, Rickie Lynn (Robert) Hickman; son, Shannon Dewayne (Sidney) Vickers; 2 granddaughters, Landry Grace and Kyleigh Faith Tippett; grandson, Hunter Drew Hickman; sister, Vickie (Charles) Crittenden, and 2 nieces Heather (Jason) Tibbett, and Christy (Chris) Willcutt. He was preceded in death by his father, Max Vickers, and mother, Nell Denmon.
He was truly loved, and will be missed by family and friends.
