SHREVEPORT, LA- Victor Hollis Boggs, 57, was born on May 7, 1955 in Shreveport, LA and passed away peacefully at home on May 1, 2013.

Funeral services celebrating the life of Victor will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2013 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Sam Carr and Bro. Tim Kilstrom. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the funeral home.

His passions were traveling and his family. He loved to write and sing music and cooking for his family, friends and the homeless. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and was president and co-owner of Great American Steak and Seafood. He was a graduate of Fair Park High School and a member of Word of Life Center.

Victor was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Mercer Boggs; brothers, Albert and Johnny Boggs and sisters, Jean Coutee and Bertha Mae Shephard. He is survived by his wife of 23 years Lisa Harrell Boggs; daughters, Crystal Anderson and husband, Jeremy and Lauren Boggs; son, SrA Joshua Boggs and wife, Jessica; brother, Allen Boggs; sister, May Phillips; granddaughters, Amber Boggs, Kaleigh Anderson and Victoria Anderson; mother-in-law, who he called "his mother" Ruth Harrell and a host of family.

Pallbearers are Jeremy Anderson, Nico Garcia, Michael Nelson, Michael Hamilton, Bo Boggs and Boogie Boggs.

Much appreciation from the family to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tulsa, Willis Knighton 4E and Willis-Knighton Hospice especially, Julie Brown.
