August 12, 1949 - October 10, 2013
SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Thomas R. Rainbolt, Sr., 64, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Chuck McInturf and Rev. Skip Rainbolt. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 11, 2013 at the funeral home.
Thomas was born in Ringgold, LA. on August 12, 1949 and went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 10, 2013. He was a mechanical engineer. Thomas enjoyed serving the Lord through his church, Woodridge Baptist Church. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a recipient of The Purple Heart.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Earl Rainbolt, and sister Charlotte Ann Rainbolt. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 43 years, Janez,; his sons, Thomas Rainbolt, Jr. and wife, Melissa, Jimmy Alan Rainbolt and wife, Tara; mother, Katherine Rainbolt; sister, Debbie Gilson and husband, Chris; grandchildren, Cody Tyler Rainbolt and Hannah Grace Rainbolt which were the pride and joy of his life; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; good friends, J.T. Bunn and Carol Weir.
Pallbearers will be The Disciples Sunday School Class of Woodridge Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Building Fund at Woodridge Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
