SHREVEPORT, Louisiana- Funeral services for Melvin "Skippy" Harold Luse, Jr, 80, will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev Marty Wright. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at the funeral home.
Skippy was born March 20, 1932 in Shreveport to Melvin and Ellie Luse, Sr. He passed away July 7, 2012 in Shreveport. Skippy proudly served his country in the US Navy. He was a member of the Auxiliary Caddo Sheriff Department. He loved racing and telling great stories.
Skippy was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Frances Luse and daughter Lesa Luse. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Sherry Longden and husband Chris and Felicia Dundore and husband Rob, and granddaughter Taylor Dundore.
Pallbearers will be David Burke, Charles Wray, Jim Milam and Charlie Simmons, Larry Reinmuth, and Carl Wilkinson.
Memorials may be made to St Jude Children's Hospital.
