Mac donated considerable time to community and youth-related organizations. Mac continued to actively pursue many interests as he moved into retirement. An avid golfer, pilot and wood worker, he also spent a great deal of time participating in the South Eastern Highland Games as a Commissioner of the Clan MacFarlane Society.
