Mausoleum
LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at an 11:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Lafayette, for Kahnray Paul Miller, 75, who died on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at his residence in Lafayette.
Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
The Very Reverend Monsignor Russell Harrington, VE, Pastor of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Mire, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Sarah M. Aymond and Marilyn Miller. Giftbearers will be Jessica Miller and Victoria Richard. Karen Broussard, organist and soloist, will sing "Hail Mary, Gentle Woman", "Here I Am Lord", "Amazing Grace", "On Eagles' Wings" and "Battle Hymn of the Republic" for the services.
Survivors include his wife Alberta B. Miller; two daughters, Donna Miller and Darla Vincent and her husband Gary; two sons, Scott Miller and his wife Donna and Kirk Miller and his wife Marilyn; one brother, Harold Miller of Oakdale; ten grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph Grant and Laris Gatte Miller; and one brother, Merlin Miller.
A native of Evangeline and a resident of Lafayette for 53 years, Kahnray Miller worked for Petroleum Helicopters for twenty years. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church and proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.
Pallbearers will be Scott Miller, Jr., Philip Miller, Michael Cobb, Kaleb Miller, Konnor Miller and Mark Girouard.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Brandon Richard and David Aymond.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN Lafayette location on Monday, June 18, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
A Rosary will be prayed by Deacon Nelson Schexnayder on Monday at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
