SOUTHSIDE - A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, March 13, 2020, at 11:00 AM in Martin & Castille's La Fleur de Lis Chapel, SOUTHSIDE location for Frederick W Bozant, 68, who passed away at his residence in Carencro Monday, March 9, 2020.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's SOUTHSIDE location on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday from 9:00 AM until time of service. A Rosary will be prayed by Deacon Randy Hyde on Thursday evening at 7:00 PM in the Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery.
Survivors include his daughters, Jeanne Parent and husband Guy, and AndreƩ Seaux and husband Justin; grandchildren Kailyn, Katherine, Brennan, and Sophia Parent, Meredith, Kennedy, Jack, and Noah Seaux; sisters Claudette Bozant Charlton, Madeline Bozant Jobon and Veronica Whelan; nieces and nephews, Louis LeBlanc, Colby Pepper, Ryan Chiasson, Grady Labbe-Hunt, and Janie Bozant Delahoussaye.
He was preceded in death by parents, Walter Bozant and Rena Gautreaux Bozant; grandson, Joseph Parent; brother, John Bozant and sister Virginia Zaunbrecher.
A resident of Carencro, Louisiana for most of his life, Pop Fred was a loving father and grandfather. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. Fred was a dedicated employee of the Lafayette Parish School System for many years. He loved music, played both electric and acoustic guitar. He had a great sense of humor and loved joking around with his grandchildren. Pop Fred loved fast cars, working on them, and could fix anything.
Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Kailyn Parent, Katherine Parent, Brennan Parent, Sophia Parent, Meredith Seaux, Kennedy Seaux, Jack Seaux, and Noah Seaux.
