1828 - April 8, 1890
He enlisted March 15, 1862, in Neshoba County, Mississippi. The Company Muster Roll for October 1862, showed he was detailed as a nurse for 30 days the the University Hospital at Oxford, Mississippi. The Company Muster Rolls for May through August 1863, showed his status as absent without leave (AWOL); however, the Company Muster Roll for September - October 1863 showed his status as in the hospital. He returned to duty in November 1863. His name appeared on a Roll of Prisoners of War after he was captured at Franklin, Tennessee, on November 30, 1864. On December 3, 1864, he was transferred from Nashville, Tennessee to the Military Prison, Louisville, Kentucky. On December 5, 1864, he was transferred from the military prison in Louisville, Kentucky to Camp Douglas in Chicago, Illinois, arriving on December 6, 1864.
