Services for Doyle Barham, Jr., 69, of Ruston, will be held Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999, at New Prospect Baptist Church. Officiating will
be Rev. Dudley Poda, assisted by Rev. Bobby Franklin and Dr. Andrew Johnson.
Interment will be in Colvin Memorial Cemetery under the direction
of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.
Mr. Barham died Thursday, November 4, 1999 in Ruston following a
brief illness. He was a truck driver for Manville Forest Products
and was a commercial fisherman for over 20 years.
Mr. Barham was preceded in death by his parents, Doyle Barham, Sr.
and Avis Barham Kay, a daughter, Alice Faye Barham and a brother,
Clayton Barham.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Doris Bointy Barham of
Ruston; three children, Barbara Crawford and husband Davey of
Dubach, Bill Barham and wife Sheila of Dubach, and Mary Alice
Watson and husband Paul of Ruston, four grandchildren, Lori Barham
of Dubach, Nicky Barham of Dubach, Craig Crawford of Dubach and Joe
Holden of Ruston; three sisters, Mildred Gay and husband D. B. of
Ruston, Margaret Hammons of Ruston, Joan Jacks and husband Don of
Dubach, a brother, Clyde Barham and wife Betty Jo of Dubach;
sister-in-law, Joann Barham of Dubach and numerous nieces and
nephews.
Memorials may be made to New Prospect Baptist Church Building Fund.
Visitation will be Friday, November 5, 1999 at Mr. Barham's
residence at 3105 Beacon Light Road in Ruston.
