LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 16, 2011, at a 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial in Martin & Castille's La Fleur de Lis Chapel in Lafayette, for Dylan James Royer age 9 who departed his short life on earth Sunday, June 12, 2011 at Women's & Children's Hospital in Lafayette.Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Reverend Louis Allen Breaux, Associate Pastor of StTheresa of the Child Jesus Church/St Benedict the Moor Church in Duson, Louisiana will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Gift bearers will be Wanda Varisco and Eddie Royer. Lectors are Andrew Morgan and Amber Agnello. Eulogist will be Victor Varisco. Jodi Bollich, organist, will sing for the services, "Hail Mary, Gentle Woman","Amazing Grace", "Here I Am, Lord" and "Ave Maria".
Survivors include mother Stefani Ann Morgan; father Jason Royer; maternal grandparents Charles Fred and Monica Lynn Morgan; paternal grandparents E J and Faye Royer; uncles Andrew Morgan and Eddie Royer and wife Brandi; aunt Amber Agnello and husband Mark and numerous cousins, who he adored.
Dylan Royer was a precious angel born in Lafayette, Louisiana May 24, 2002. He was a student at Green T. Lindon Elementary School in Youngsville and was gifted in Arts. Dylan donated his organs to keep his life going through other recipients. He loved legos, spiderman, motorcyles, four wheelers and Karate. Dylan was a loving child, whose precious smile was truly a gift from God. He will be treasured and loved by his family forever.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Morgan, Ryan Romero, Tyler Varisco, Mark Agnello, Eddie Royer and Seth Varisco. Honorary Pallbearers will be his cousins.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's SOUTHSIDE location Thursday, June 16, 2011 9:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM.
