Funeral services for Shirley Ann Currier will be held at 1 pm Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home with burial to follow at Fern Park Cemetery in Natchitoches. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 9 pm on Friday, September 3rd at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home with recitation of the Holy Rosary to begin at 6 pm in the funeral home chapel. Shirley, 69 years of age and a resident of Natchitoches, passed away August 31, 2021 in Winnfield, LA. She was born on September 17, 1952 in Shreveport, LA. Shirley worked for many years as a property manager in Natchitoches. She was a compassionate person and would sacrifice her own necessities to meet the needs of people asking for help. With such a caring and giving personality, it is no surprise that she had many close friends throughout the course of her life. At times she could be headstrong, but it was only because she wanted the best for her family. She will truly be missed but always remembered as a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She is survived by her children, Sylvia Overbey and Glenn Currier; father, Raymond Beaudoin, Sr.; grandchildren, Rebecca Tatum, Bryan Overbey, and Shawn Currier; great grandchildren, Addlynn Tuttle, Kensley Tatum, and Makayla Currier; sisters, Gwen Ladell and Judy Tucker; and brothers, Raymond Beaudoin, Jr. and James Beaudoin. She was preceded in death by her mother, and 4 brothers Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Randal O’Bannon, Jr., Dustin Urban, Kerry Rhodes, Patrick Beaudoin, Bryan Keith Overbey, and Flint Saffel. Shawn Currier will be an honorary pallbearer.
