Funeral services for James E. (Jimmy) Greene will be held Monday November 12, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden. Officiating will be Rev. Jim Kennedy and Rev. Joe Hunter. Interment will be held at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Minden. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home.

Jimmy was born September 13, 1940 in Minden and entered into rest November 9, 2012 in Bossier City. He was a graduate of Louisiana Tech, served in the United States Army as a Medic, and retired from the Louisiana Department of Health as a Regional Sanitarian. He was Webster Parish Cattleman of the Year in 2011.

His parents Elton and Hazel Greene and sister Mary Akins preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Judi Greene of Minden, sons Leonard Greene and wife Christy of Denton, Texas, Lane Greene and wife Carol of Lewisville, Texas, Stephen Greene and wife Stacia of Bossier City, Robby Greene and wife Wendy of Haughton, brother Bobby Greene and wife Jeanette of Minden, eighteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many friends and family members.

Pallbearers will be Gary Greene, David Greene, Michael Greene, Corky Bridges, Charlie Bridges, Danny Greene, George Greene, and J.D. Greene.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cortez Bridges, Ricky Bridges, Nicky Akins and Ricky Akins.
