Wilbert Soularie, Jr, 66, of Jacksonville died Friday, October 16, 2015. He was born August 4, 1949 in Lafayette, Louisiana to Wilbert Soularie, Sr and the late Theresa Edmond Soularie. Mr Soularie was a mechanic and served his country in the United States Air Force for 20 years and worked for Pepsi Company for over 20 years. He loved the New Orleans Saints and the LSU Tigers. He was a member of St Jude the Apostle Catholic Church and was a loving grandfather to his 14 grandchildren. Mr Soularie was a great advocate of the National Alliance for Mental Illness. Memorials may be made in his name to NAMI at www.namiarkansas.org/donate-to-nami-arkansas. All donations will benefit NAMIWalk 2016. Mr Soularie is survived by his wife, Joyce Louise Taylor Soularie, his children; Wilbert Soularie III and Richard Soularie, his step-children; David Crook, Jessica Crook and Troy Crook; his siblings; Rick Soularie, James Soularie and Elizabeth Stagg and 14 grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 pm Wednesday, October 21, 2015 in the chapel of Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 3:00 pm. Joyce will take Will home to Louisiana to his final resting place. Arrangements are by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home (501)982-2136.
