Ernest "Boo Boo" passed away Friday, April 7, 2017 at 9:44am at his home in Garyville at the age of 59. He was a native of Port Allen and resident of Garyville. Visiting will be Wilbert Funeral Home in Port Allen Monday, April 10 5 to 9 pm and again Tuesday, April 11, 8 am until time of religious services at 10am, conducted by Pastor Checkerz Williams. Burial will follow in St John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery in Brusly. Ernest "Boo Boo" is survived by wife Melissa “Missy” Duhon Altazan; daughters Misty Altazan, Abagail Altazan, Chantel Richard and Cassie Richard; sons Ernest “Trey” Altazan and Philip Simon; sisters Mary Lamkin and husband Jerrold, Lisa Herring and husband David; grandchildren Brennan, Kristian, Erick, Dillen, Zayne, Colten, Levi, Taylor, Austin, Jayce, Chloe, Gabbie, Eddie, and Fred; godchild, Royiana Taylor. Ernest "Boo Boo" was preceded in death by parents, Ernest J Sr and Noelie David Altazan; sisters Betty McGuffey and Joyce Pourciau; sons Seth Altazan and Christian Babin; granddaughter Makaylin Mendoza. He was a member of Celebration Church in LaPlace, Louisiana. Pallbearers will be Coonie Barbier, Bubba Gueho, Trey Altazan, Philip Simon, Brennan Mendoza, Randy Garvin, Matthew Lamkin and Robert Duhon. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerrold Lamkin, Johnny Pourciau, David Herring and Luke Boudreaux.
