Died Of Wounds

He died of wounds received in battle. He was buried on July 18, 1918, in the American Cemetery Chateau Montanglaust, Mouroux, Seine et Marne, Grave #68. His body was disinterred on April 16, 1921 for preparation and shipment to the United States. On May 23, 1921, his body was shipped from Antwerp, Belgium, via USA Transport Cambrai, to Hoboken, New Jersey and arrived on June 6, 1921. On July 1, 1921, he was shipped to Florien, Louisiana, and arrived on July 6, 1921.
