Ida Louise Calloway, resident and native of Plaquemine departed this life Friday, November 19, 2010 at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City. She was 70, born December 14, 1939 to Joseph Sr and Florence Poland Calloway. She was a member of Greater St Mary Baptist Church of Plaquemine, pastored by the Rev Orris Dupuy Sr. Visitation Friday, November 26, at Greater St Mary Baptist Church, 58820 W W Harleaux St, Plaquemine, 5 pm until religious service at 7 pm. Dismissal at 10 am Saturday. Interment in Homestead Cemetery, Plaquemine. She is survived by sister Doretha McElroy, New Orleans; brother Joseph Jr and wife Gwendolyn Calloway, Baton Rouge; foster son Kevin Johnson, Bronx, New York; extended family, Evatness and husband Gerald Moton, Baton Rouge, Betty and husband Walter Mitchell, and Mary Lee Walker, all of Plaquemine and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carol Ann Brock; brother, Ernest J Calloway Sr; niece, Rhonda Faye Brock; and nephew, Theran Lewis Brock.
