native and resident of Plaquemine, he died at his nephew's residence Monday, October 3, 2011. Visiting at Roscoe Mortuary, 58655 Meriam Street, Plaquemine, Sunday, October 9, 2 pm to 5 pm. Visiting at Mount Zion Baptist Church No 2, 24400 Eleanor Drive, Plaquemine, Sunday from 6 pm until religious service at 7 pm, with Rev Ricardo Handy officiating. Dismissal at 11 am Monday. Interment in Homestead Cemetery. He is survived by a nephew he reared, Troy James; devoted nephew and caregiver, Matt W James and spouse Felicia; brother Sam Milligan and spouse Mercedes; sisters Dauphine M Haynes, Brenda Lee and spouse Leroy, Cheryl Brown, Alma McGinnis, Everlina Anderson and spouse William, and Pearl Nicholas; sister-in-law, Juanita Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
