A medical assistant, resident of Donaldsonville, former resident of Minneapolis and native of Plaquemine, died at 2:08 am Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 42. Visiting at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, 58130 Bayou Jacob Road, Plaquemine, Saturday, January 7, 9 am until religious service at 11 am, conducted by Rev Clyde McNell, pastor. Interment in Homestead Cemetery, Plaquemine. He is survived by mother Myrel Kelly; sisters and a brother-in-law, Joan and Victor Richardson, Vera Franklin, Sarah Walker and Betty Knox; brothers and three sisters-in-law, Gregory Kelly, Edward Kelly, Rickey and Lynne Kelly, Eric and Marticia Jordan and Lorraine Kelly; aunts Mercedese, Rosemary and Mary Kelly; uncle, Isaac Kelly; great-aunts Augustine Jones, Charlotte Williams and Nancy Willis; nephew whom he reared, Elton Kelly; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grand parents, Charles Kelly Sr and Lou Ida Williams; and brother Alvin Kelly. Arrangements entrusted to Demby & Son Funeral Home, Donaldsonville, (225) 473-9534.
