Samuel James "Sam Boy" Landry, resident of Plaquemine, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012 in Topeka, Kansas. He was 69.

Visitation at Pugh's Mortuary, 58233 Plaquemine Street, until religious service, conducted by Rev George Barrett. Interment in Homestead Cemetery.

He is survived by daughters Kathy Hubbs Myles (Steve), Monica Landry, Nkenge Landry and Crystal Landry; sons Samuel Jr, Charles, Jerome, Sutton and Marion Landry; brother Joseph Earl Landry (Willie Mae); devoted sister Patricia Landry Breaux; devoted nephew, Willie Andrew Harris; 22 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by parents Earl and Ellen Coleman Landry; sons Joseph and John Landry; sisters Mary L Landry and Viola G Landry; brothers Lawrence A Landry and Lionel W Landry; great-grand children, one nephew and godfather Alfred Jackson.
